We figured out how we are getting all of our furniture out there too. We've been flopping back and forth between driving out in just a car and buying furniture there, or renting a truck and driving the truck while towing the car, and finally have settled with driving the car out and using a moving/cargo company to get our furniture out there. Basically we pay for a certain amount of space in the trailer of a cargo truck, we load up our stuff and then they fill up the rest of the truck with any cargo that they are taking out to California as well. Once they get there they bring the truck by and we unload our stuff. This is great because it saves us a lot of money... plus no hassle or worries of driving a truck out ourselves.
We're now really beginning the packing process and consolidating all our furniture and belongings! We're also starting to look at our trip out when we officially leave and trying to find some cool things to stop and see along the way... the only big stop we have planned is the Grand Canyon. But we plan on making the spontaneous stops at road side attractions as we go along and see them! We've also found a few restaurants along the way we are going to try and stop it... mainly one's that we saw or heard about through shows like Man Vs. Food and such!
Any suggestions people can think of would be great... just leave a comment!
The days are counting down with the nervousness and excitement increasing!
On a side note... my Xbox officially bit the dust today. We've had a good run together my friend, you will be missed. On to Best Buy to replace my fallen comrade!
